Storyteller - Day 21

There isn't a new devotional today, as Sarah Koontz doesn't write devotionals for the "Storyteller" Bible study on the weekends. This gives us an opportunity to take a few days off to rest and reflect on what we've learned so far.

However, in her email this weekend, Sarah Koontz shared something that really caught my attention, and I thought I'd share it here with you.

One of my prayers for our free online Bible studies is that they would be a resource to help Christian women mentor and disciple friends both near and far. I believe in the importance of studying the Bible in community. Learning and growing alongside other Christians is an invaluable tool for spiritual growth. It's messy and beautiful. It's stressful and life-giving. It's uncomfortable and necessary. Whether you choose to connect in person, online, or over the phone; it's important for women to study God's Word together. We each have a unique perspective, a unique story, a unique burden. When we come together to share our perspectives, stories, and burdens—growth is inevitable! Because our Bible studies can be accessed all over the world, you can go through them with whomever you choose, no matter where they live. (Sarah Koontz)

Doing an online Bible study with a friend or family member is a step of faith and it may stretch you out of your comfort zone, but the blessing you (and they) will receive is worth the sacrifice.

My little corner of the internet is a space for me to share encouragement and wisdom from the Word of God, and I believe that the Lord has a purpose for my words to reach hearts with His Words.
