It's confetti time!! We made it to Day 30 of our study of the Book of Romans ... well done, friends!
Our last Bible reading for this series is Romans 16: 25 - 27 ...
Now to Him who has power to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation about Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept silent for long ages 26 but now revealed and made known through the prophetic Scriptures, according to the command of the eternal God to advance the obedience of faith among all nations— 27 to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ—to Him be the glory forever! Amen.
What a resounding conclusion to the Book of Romans! Paul's purpose in writing this epistle was to set forth the Gospel (or Good News) of Jesus Christ, and how it reveals the righteousness of God, in contrast to the unrighteousness of man.
And here he wraps up his whole message with one ringing reminder: "to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ—to Him be the glory forever! Amen." (Verse 27)
Paul is reminding the Roman Believers that the plan of salvation is from God alone, Whose wisdom is beyond man. The Lord's plan for the salvation mankind is nothing that any human could or would have thought of or designed.
The Father's wisdom and glory are evident throughout His plan for our salvation! Amen and amen!
