This is the third part in my current series, blogging on our identity in Christ.
In Psalm 139: 16, David writes this:
"You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in Your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed." (NLT)
Isn't that a wonderful assurance? Before you ever physically came to be, Father God imagined you; planned you. You were never a "mistake", an "afterthought", a "random event" or an "accident".
If you've ever thought those things about yourself, or been told them by anyone else, I urge you today to banish those words from your mind! They are lies from Satan himself, and God's Word clearly tells us otherwise!
Not only was your birth not an accident, but you were designed and created with love, and for a purpose.
Elsewhere in Psalm 139, David also tells says to the Lord:
"Thank You for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it." (Psalm 139: 14 NLT)
You were not just made, but "wonderfully made" - a unique, perfectly formed being, a masterpiece of God the Father.
And because of Who our Creator is, we are never unwanted, never unloved, never abandoned. An artist doesn't discard or reject his greatest work!!
In God's loving sovereignty, He has planned our days, our lives, and our circumstances, for His glory and our good.
Don't ever forget your identity in Him!
